HeightLab provides a browser-based adult-height estimate, a height-unit converter, and explanatory content. The calculator uses the traditional mid-parental method to produce a rough family-height estimate from two parent heights and an optional child-sex adjustment.
The site requires a compatible browser with JavaScript enabled. We may add, change, pause, or remove features as the site evolves.
2. Educational use only
The results are general educational information and are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional. The estimate is not a guarantee of final adult height and should not be used by itself to judge whether a child is healthy or needs treatment.
If you are concerned about growth, puberty, nutrition, development, or a measurement trend, speak with a qualified clinician. In an urgent situation, contact local emergency or medical services.
3. Your inputs and results
You are responsible for entering measurements accurately and for deciding whether a result is appropriate for your situation. The page may apply product limits such as a practical height range and may reject empty, invalid, or non-numeric values.
The calculator performs the normal arithmetic in your browser and does not create a medical record. Keep your own records if you need to track measurements over time, and verify important calculations independently.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the site to break the law, harass others, distribute harmful content, or infringe another person's rights.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, attack, scrape aggressively, or interfere with the website or other visitors.

5. Accuracy and limitations
The mid-parental method is a simple estimate. Genetic variation, measurement error, health conditions, nutrition, puberty timing, and other factors can change actual growth. Unit conversions are mathematical equivalents, but displayed values may be rounded for readability.
We do not promise that every result is complete, current, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Test and interpret any result before relying on it.
6. Availability and changes
We may update, pause, limit, or remove the tools, explanations, references, or site design at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every browser, or permanent access to any page or result.
A future update may change formulas, supported units, input limits, labels, privacy disclosures, or features. Continued use after a change means the revised Terms apply to future use.
7. External references and services
The site may link to medical organizations, educational resources, growth-chart references, hosting services, analytics providers, or advertising products. We do not control third-party content, availability, privacy practices, or security. A link does not mean that a third party endorses HeightLab or that its information is appropriate for your situation.
8. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, HeightLab's site text, interface organization, branding, and code are owned by HeightLab or used with permission.
